Homi-Lung took part in the European Researchers’ Night 2025 with two outreach activities included in the programme designed for Barcelona. The activities included a short video talk and a poster at the European Corner. The aim was to make the project’s results more visible to both the scientific community and the public, increasing the potential impact of our research on health.
The video talk, presented by Dr Laia Fernández-Barat (CIBERES – IDIBAPS), explains why pneumonia can increase the risk of cardiovascular events and how Homi-Lung combines clinical studies, omics, microbiome research and artificial intelligence to predict and prevent these complications. The video is in Catalan and includes subtitles in French and English via YouTube.
In parallel, we presented a poster at the European Corner of the Researchers’ Night in Barcelona, an online space that showcases EU-funded projects and their innovations.
The European Researchers’ Night is a public event held simultaneously in more than 300 cities across Europe. Its goal is to bring science and innovation closer to citizens of all ages, through talks, workshops, games and exhibitions.
At Homi-Lung, communication and dissemination are part of the project from the outset. We want the knowledge generated in hospitals and laboratories to reach those who need it most: healthcare professionals, patients and society. This is why we reinforce the public presence of the project and publish updates on our blog and social networks.
