Last week, Prof. Antoine Roquilly, coordinator of the Homi-Lung project, took part in ISICEM 2026, held in Brussels from 17 to 20 March 2026. During the congress, he contributed to three scientific sessions and also served as poster jury member alongside Prof. Ricard Ferrer.

His presentations addressed three major topics in critical care: immunotherapy for sepsis prevention, the role of multi-omic subphenotyping in redefining treatment strategies, and the potential of restoring a healthy respiratory microbiome to improve outcomes in severe pneumonia. These themes closely connect with Homi-Lung’s research focus on pneumonia, host–microbiome interactions, patient stratification, and more personalised approaches to care.

Prof. Roquilly’s participation at ISICEM reflects Homi-Lung’s commitment to sharing knowledge in leading international scientific forums and to advancing research on the long-term consequences of pneumonia.
